Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has seized a huge quantity of banned crystal ice worth approximately Taka 7.55 crore during a recent raid in the district town.

The high-grade drugs were recovered from the central bus terminal area of the district town during an operation on Saturday afternoon. Despite the scale of the operation, no arrests were made.

On a tip-off, a team of RAB-6 conducted a drive in the area and recovered the drugs from a bus traveling from Shyamnagar in Satkhira to Chapainawabganj. During the search, they recovered 1 kg 510 grams of crystal meth, commonly known as "ice," which is classified as a dangerous drug.

Company Commander of RAB-6, CPC-2 Squadron Leader Md. Imamim Mubin Sarkar Sumon said that the drugs, which had been abandoned, have been confiscated and handed over to Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station for further legal action.

As the value of the seized drugs has been estimated at Taka 7.55 crore, it marks a significant win in the fight against illegal narcotics in Bangladesh, reports BSS.
