Russian House screens Ballad of a Soldier in Dhaka

Russian House in Dhaka organised a special screening of the iconic film Ballad of a Soldier on Tuesday evening, bringing together aspiring diplomats and distinguished guests for an event marked by cultural reflection and meaningful dialogue.

The event drew a notable number of future diplomats from Bangladesh, underscoring growing interest in cultural exchange and international understanding.

Among the distinguished guests were Iqbal Ahmed, director general of the Foreign Service Academy Bangladesh, and Dr. Mizanur Rahman, president of the Soviet Alumni Association Bangladesh.

In her opening remarks, Alexandra Alexandrovna spoke on the devastating human cost of war and drew a poignant parallel with the Bangladesh Liberation War, reminding the audience of shared historical memories and the enduring importance of peace.

Following the formal addresses, guests watched Ballad of a Soldier, a timeless cinematic classic that continues to resonate across generations.
