Patuakhali: Initiatives will be taken to develop Kuakata as an international standard tourism center and to build a sustainable embankment to prevent erosion and to rehabilitate families in vulnerable areas, said Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain, BNP's Central Executive Committee Training Secretary and the nominated candidate for the paddy sheaf symbol from Patuakhali-4 (Kalapara-Rangabali and Mahipur) constituency.

He said these things as the chief guest at an election public meeting organized by Kuakata Municipality BNP at the Rakhine Women's Market Ground in Kuakata on Wednesday (January 28) evening.

ABM Mosharraf Hossain said that people always stand by BNP because of the trust and love of the people. He urged people to vote for BNP in the next election for the overall development of the country and the establishment of basic human rights.

He further said that if BNP comes to power, a 'farmer card' will be introduced for farmers and a 'family card' for women. In addition, Kuakata will be transformed into an international standard tourist city.

He further said that if BNP forms the government, a monthly allowance will be introduced for imams and muezzins. Sports teachers will be appointed in every school and college to keep the youth and future generations away from drugs. As a result, on the one hand, the youth will return to a healthy trend, and on the other hand, employment opportunities will be created. He further said that if BNP comes to power, party chairman Tarique Rahman will become the Prime Minister.

Highlighting the political context, ABM Mosharraf Hossain said that basically the two major political parties in Bangladesh were Awami League and BNP. In the current political reality, the participation of Awami League in the next election is uncertain. As a result, if a free, fair and impartial election is held, BNP will win. If BNP comes to power and the elected representatives of the people are in parliament, the implementation of development programs in Kalapara, Rangabali, Mahipur and Kuakata will be much easier. He urged people to vote for the paddy sheaf symbol for the overall development of the area.

Referring to past developments, he said that most of the demands raised by the locals during former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's visit to Kalapara on December 10, 2004 have been implemented. If BNP comes to power, a role model of development will be built around Kalapara, Rangabali, Mahipur and Kuakata.

Kalapara Upazila BNP President Haji Humayun Sikder, Mahipur Thana BNP President Abdul Jalil Howlader, former Kalapara Upazila BNP convener Md. Moniruzzaman Manir, Mahipur Thana BNP General Secretary Advocate Shahjahan Parvez, Kuakata Municipality BNP Senior Vice President Jasim Uddin Babul Bhuiyan, Mahipur Thana BNP Senior Vice President Mohiuddin Musulli Sultan, Kuakata Municipality Jubo Dal President Syed Md. Faruk and other leaders were present at the meeting.

Leaders and activists of Kalapara, Rangabali, Mahipur and Kuakata BNP and its affiliates and associate organizations, central leaders, journalists from various media outlets and thousands of men and women were present.
