Abahani earn comfortable win over Police in BFL

Dhaka, 17 April- Abahani Limited registered a comfortable 3-1 goal win over Bangladesh Police Football Club in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) held at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur today.  

In the day’s match, Nigerian forward Emeka Ogbugh put Abahani Limited ahead in the 33rd minute while forward Mohammad Babu  restored the parity for Police in the 45+2nd minute of the match.

After the resumption, forward Al-Amin again put Abahani ahead scoring the second goal in the 58th minute while midfielder Shekh Morsalin sealed the victory scoring the third goal in the 78th minute of the match.

The day’s win saw the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited again moved to the second position the points table with 25 points from 13 matches while Police, standing fifth position the table, remained with their previous collection of 16 points playing the same number of matches.

Abahani Sheikh Morsalin and Bangladesh Police Football Club’s defender Sharif Uddin Nirob got the marching order by the referee during the match.
Meanwhile, Brothers Union Club take on PWD Sports Club at Birshrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj tomorrow  at 3.30 pm.BSS
