Kings lose valuable points in BFL

Dhaka, 17 April-Bashundhara Kings lost valuable points as they were forced to play by 1-1 goal draw by Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) held at Birshrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj Friday.

The early breakthrough came for Kings when forward Shahriar Emon scored the first goal in the 13th minute. Ernest Boateng, the Ghanian forward, restored the parity for Rahmatganj in the 42nd minute of the match.

After the resumption, Kings however tried their best to increase the lead but they could not score any in the remaining proceeding and eventually they had to leave the field sharing one point with Rahmatganj.

Despite the day’s outcome, Kings remained top of the table with 28 points from 13 matches while the traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj, standing fourth position in the league table, remained with their previous credit of 19 points playing the same number of outings.

Foysal Ahmed Fahim of Kings and Abhishek Limbo of Rahmatganj both were shown red card. The duo got the marching order by the referee following their double yellow cards  

Meanwhile Brothers Union Club meet PWD Sports Club at Birshrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj tomorrow  at 3.30 pm.BSS
