The International Energy Agency (IEA) has recommended measures to help consumers cope with rising energy prices caused by the US-Israel conflict with Iran. Among the suggestions are working from home, avoiding air travel when alternatives exist, and lowering highway speed limits by at least 10 km/h.

“These actions provide immediate relief on the demand side and can be implemented by governments, businesses, and households,” said IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol.

Earlier this month, the IEA authorized the largest-ever release of 400 million barrels from emergency oil reserves, with the US supplying most of the oil, in a bid to stabilize global markets and ease inflationary pressures.
