43 new dengue patients hospitalized in 24 hrs

A total of forty-three dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.


“During the period, thirty-one patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, one in Chattogram, two in Dhaka division, five in Dhaka North and four were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 2,654 while 20 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

A total of 43 dengue patients have been released in the last 24 hours, reports BSS.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
