5 more die of suspected measles
Five more children died of suspected measles across the country in the last 24 hours.
According to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), five children died of suspected measles in the last 24 hours, while a total of 844 children have died of suspected measles since March 15.
No one died of confirmed measles in the last 24 hours. However, 99 people have died of confirmed measles since March 15.
According to the release, 986 suspected measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while the total number of suspected measles cases from March 15 to August 25 stood at 151,638.
The number of confirmed measles cases in the past 24 hours was 91, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since March 15 to 18,578.
From March 15 to August 25, a total of 132,554 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals. During the same period, 127,811 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals, reports BSS.
