Bangabhaban ICT Staff Held Over Jamaat Ameer X Hack

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has detained a Bangabhaban employee over the alleged hacking of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman’s verified X account.
The detainee was identified as Sarwar Alam, an assistant programmer in the ICT section of Bangabhaban, police said.
A DB team detained him during a drive in the Motijheel area, confirmed DB chief Shafiqul Islam.
He said the operation is still underway and further details will be disclosed after the investigation progresses.
