Valuables worth Tk6 lakh stolen from Dakshinkhan in daylight

Dhaka, May 3 --Valuables and cash worth nearly Tk 6 lakh were stolen from a house in the Dakshinkhan area of Dhaka in broad daylight on Saturday.

According to the victim, Mohammad Ali Gazi, the thieves entered the house between 7am and 8am and stole the money and other valuables.

Later, Mohammad Ali filed a general diary (GD) at the Dakshinkhan police station on Saturday night.

In the GD, Mohammad Ali mentioned that he left home for work at around 6:30 am, followed shortly by his wife, who went to visit her sister. Later, Mohammad Ali's father-in-law, who had returned home from his eldest daughter's house, discovered that the main door was broken and informed him by phone.

Upon receiving the call, Mohammad Ali quickly returned home and found the inside of the house in disarray, with belongings scattered everywhere.

The stolen items included 7,500 Saudi Riyals, Tk 1,50,000, and other valuables. - UNB
