Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar has laid emphasis on making the country’s Cottage, Micro and Small Enterprises (CMSEs) sector  more bankable through incorporating innovative ideas  and bringing positive change.

She laid the emphasis while inaugurating a roundtable discussion titled “CMSE’s Readiness for Bankability : Issues and Challenges”  on Sunday at Mirpur in the capital.

Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) has organized the roundtable at its auditorium.

The Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor further stated that efforts must be made to provide loan to the small entrepreneurs with easy term and less documentation.

Referring to women entrepreneurs she noted that  there are many challenges regarding providing loan to them. The challenge must be resolved through giving them more loan-facility as they were found less defaulters.

Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Associate Professor,BIBM, presented the key-note paper at the roundtable discussion. – BBIM press release
