Ex White House press secy slams US war on Iran, disputes Vance statements

Ari Fleischer, former White House press secretary to US President George W Bush, is disputing Vance’s earlier statements suggesting that the Republicans’ midterm defeat was a result of the US’s war on Iran.


“The problem was not the Iran War. It was the cease fire,” Fleischer wrote in a statement on X.

“If you start a war, you need to win it and finish it – otherwise don’t start it,” he added.

Fleischer slammed the administration’s approach to Iran in his statement, saying, “We stood on the brink of a new, more peaceful Middle East – and then we blinked.”
