Rubio joins US envoys’ regional conference in India
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday said US ambassadors in the South and Central Asian region are working to make America “safer, stronger, and more prosperous
"I called into our Ambassadors Regional Conference in India, hosted by Ambassador Sergio Gor," Rubio said in his verified X handle.
He said it was great to speak with US Ambassadors and Chiefs of Mission from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said, “Great to have all our SCA Ambassadors in India.”
US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen travelled to New Delhi to attend the conference.
The Bureau of South and Central Asian (SCA) Affairs oversees US foreign policy and US relations with the countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, reports UNB.
