Youth’s body recovered from pond in Narsingdi

Police have recovered the body of a youth named Monsur Ali (25) from a pond in Changao village under Amdia Union of Madhabdi upazila in Narsingdi.

The body was recovered around 10:30 am on Friday (April 3) after police from Madhabdi Police Station reached the spot based on information provided by locals. 

The deceased, Monsur Ali, was the son of Motalib from Changao village and worked as an auto-rickshaw driver.

The victim’s father said, “My son was a very good person. We do not know how he died. He had not returned home since last night.” 

According to locals, they noticed a body floating in the pond while out for a walk and informed the police. Later, police arrived and recovered the body, reports BSS. 

Md. Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhabdi Police Station, said that police responded to a 999 emergency call and recovered the body. The exact cause of death is still unknown. The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy. Further details will be known after investigation.
