Ferry movement on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed this morning after 8.30 hours of suspension due to fog.

Deputy General Manager of BIWTC Paturia Nasir Mahmud Chowdhury said the ferry movement was suspended at 2:30 am for poor visibility as the dense fog blanketed the riverbed, adding that the ferry movement resumed around 9am.

About 150 vehicles, including passenger buses and goods-laden trucks, on both sides of the river were waiting to cross the river.

"All the vehicles will be able to cross the river within a short time as all the ferries are running normally with full loading capacity," he said.

Besides, the ferry movement on the Aricha-Kazirhat resumed after 6 hours of suspension caused by dense fog, reports BSS.
