Biman Bangladesh Airlines started operating flights on Dhaka-Guangzhou-Dhaka route from Thursday morning.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali inaugurated the flights at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital this morning, according to a press release.
The flights on the Dhaka-Guangzhou-Dhaka route will eliminate the sufferings of Bangladeshi students and businessmen traveling to China, said the state minister.
The flight with 229 passengers took off from Shahjalal Airport at 11am (local time) and will land in China’s Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport around 4:45pm (local time).
The returning flight from Guangzhou will take off at 7:45pm (local time) and reach Dhaka at 9:30pm (local time).
Passengers can purchase tickets from any sales centre of Biman and its website www.biman-airlines.com or any Biman-approved travel agency.
