Hotel, restaurant owners call off strike in Kuakata

Patuakhali: Hotel- Restaurant Owners Association has called off their strike in Kuakata. 

On Wednesday) 4 pm Patuakhali Deputy Commissioner Kamal Hossain accepted all the demands of the association after a meeting with hotel owners. 

The matter was confirmed by the president of the association Md. Salim Munshi.

Earlier on Tuesday (August 16) at 10 pm, President of Kuakata Restaurant Owners Association Salim Munshi announced the strike. Hundreds of tourists coming to Kuakata were in trouble.

Salim Munshi said that the same restaurant was fined multiple times by conducting the mobile courts. We are being harassed in the name of mobile court. 

So all the hotel owners have come together and we have taken this decision.

Salim Munshi also said that the Deputy Commissioner had a meeting with them Wednesday. Accepting our demands in the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner gave some directions to serve the tourists. 

We also promise to operate the hotel in accordance with the law and maintaining cleanliness.
