EDOTCO Bangladesh, a leading telecom infrastructure provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tiger New Energy Ltd to jointly deploy sustainable power solutions aimed at advancing greener connectivity and expanding clean energy access across Bangladesh.

This landmark partnership represents a strategic move away from traditional energy sources towards integrated renewable energy systems that not only support reliable telecom operations but also contribute to national carbon reduction goals and energy equity.

Under the agreement, the two companies will introduce innovative technologies including:

Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS): A subscription-based power backup system to ensure uninterrupted telecom services, even during grid outages.

Battery Swapping Stations (BSS): Located at EDOTCO tower sites to support electric mobility—especially for two and three-wheelers—reducing EV charging time and promoting shared clean energy access.

Battery Charging Station Systems (BCSS): Public charging points catering to electric rickshaws and easy bikes, extending clean energy usage to communities.

“This partnership is not just a technological evolution—it’s a bold step toward a more inclusive and sustainable digital future,” said Sunil Isaac, Country Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh. “By combining smart infrastructure with clean energy, we are creating meaningful impact for the communities we serve.”

Nicole Mao, Co-Founder and CEO of Tiger New Energy, echoed the sentiment: “Our collaboration with EDOTCO is about powering people. These solutions open affordable access to clean energy, reduce carbon emissions, and empower everyday citizens to be part of a greener tomorrow.”

This is the first initiative of its kind in Bangladesh, further cementing EDOTCO’s position as a sustainability leader in telecom infrastructure. The partnership is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting climate-conscious connectivity and community resilience.

EDOTCO Bangladesh, a subsidiary of Malaysia-based EDOTCO Group—the sixth-largest tower company in the world—continues to drive innovation through solutions like the Bamboo Tower, Hybrid Solar-Wind Tower, Spun Prestressed Concrete Tower, and Smart Pole Street Furniture, all designed to support sustainable development and digital inclusion across Asia.
