Shafiquzzaman re-elected CAB president, Humayun gen secy
CAB Consumers Association of Bangladesh
Dhaka, Apr 4 - The Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) formed its new 11-member central executive committee on Saturday, re-electing AHM Shafiquzzaman as president and Advocate Humayun Kabir Bhuiyan as general secretary.
The CAB committee was elected unanimously during its annual general meeting held at its Segunbagicha office.
Other key office-bearers elected include Senior Vice President Jamil Chowdhury, Vice President SM Nazer Hossain, Joint Secretary Masudur Rahman Roni, Treasurer Shawkat Ali Khan, Organising Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad, and Publicity Secretary Anwar Hossain Chowdhury.
Anwar Hossain, MA Kader Mondal, and Bahadur Sajeda Akter were elected as executive members.
The newly formed executive committee will serve a two-year term.
Professor Dr Anwarul Islam served as the chief election commissioner, with Advocate Akbar Hossain and Mostak Ahmad as election commissioners. - UNB
