JU Science Club gets new executive body

Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC), a science-based social organisation of Jahangirnagar University, has formed a new executive body at a restaurant near Savar on Thursday night.

Shakil Islam of mathematics and Shakil Hossain Tibro of computer science engineering department were announced the president and the general secretary of the new committee respectively.

Former general secretary of the club Golam Rabbani announced the newly formed executive committee consisting of 29-member for next one-year term.

The former executive body handed over the charge to the newly formed executive body at the function.

Presided over by the president of outgoing executive body Jakirul Islam, dean of mathematical and physical faculty Professor Dr. Ajit Kumar Majumdar addressed the function as the chief guest.

Chief adviser and the director of the Teachers-Students Centre (TSC) Professor Dr. Alamgir Kabir, professor of biotechnology and genetic engineering department Dr. Md. Sharif Hossain, among others, at the function. - JU Correspondent
