Those who don't believe in democracy can't join BNP: Salahuddin

BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed today said those who do not believe in democracy cannot become members of

BNP.

He said this at the inauguration of the BNP's new member recruitment and membership renewal programme in Sylhet division at the District Shilpakala Academy in the city.

BNP organizing secretary (Sylhet) GK Gauche chaired the event which was moderated by BNP assistant organizing Secretary Miftah Siddiqui.

Urging people to be members of BNP, he underscored the need for disseminating BNP's 31-point reform outline to the people at all strata.

He asked party men to recruit those who believe in Bangladeshi nationalism and identify themselves as Bangladeshis can become members of BNP.

He advised the party leaders and activists to be careful so that the leaders and activists of the Awami League who cherish the ideology of "fascism" cannot become members of the BNP.

BNP Treasurer M Raseduzzaman Millat, BNP chairperson's adviser Dr Enamul Haque Chowdhury, Ariful Haque Chowdhury and UK BNP President M A Malik, assistant organizing secretary Kalim Uddin Ahmed Milon, cooperative affairs secretary Shammi Akhter also spoke, reports BSS.
