Jamaat Secretary General Parwar shown arrested in arms case

Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Mia Golam Parwar was shown arrested in an arms case today.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order this afternoon, accepting an application of Paltan Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI)  Md Salah Uddin Kader, who is also the Investigation Officer of the case.

On September 6, 2021, nine including Parwar were arrested from a flat at Block-D of Dhaka's Basundhara residential area. 

On the same night, police filed a subversion case under the Anti-terrorism Act with the capital's Bhatara Police Station against them.

The Arms case was filed with the capital's Paltan Police Station on 26 March this year. - Special Correspondent
