Woman gang raped in Narayanganj
A woman was gang raped by four men and later threatened to not disclose the crime in Narayanganj’s Fatulla upazila on Thursday.
The victim filed a case accusing six people, with three unnamed on Thursday night at Fatullah Model Police Station.
Police arrested the main accused, Riaj, 20, on the same night that the case was filed.
Noor-E Azam Mia, office-in-charge of Fatullah Model Police Station, said the main accused has been arrested. They are trying to arrest the others, he said.
According to the case statement, the main accused Riaj was the victim’s former neighbor. He informed the victim that day that her husband was injured in an accident.
Later, they asked her to come to a place where they said her husband was. She went there with her 5-year-old son. Four men raped her and videotaped the incident.
When the woman fell sick from the torture, they let her go and threatened not to disclose the crime, reports UNB.
