
Titled "Roadmap for Trade, Growth & Economic Diplomacy Conference: Navigating Risks, Leveraging Resilience", the daylong event will be held at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon, bringing together policymakers, diplomats, business leaders, academics, development partners and media representatives.
Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman, who is also President-Elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), will inaugurate the conference, according to the Foreign Ministry here.
The conference will focus on Bangladesh's trade, investment and economic diplomacy priorities, with particular emphasis on advancing the country's national development agenda under the government's "Bangladesh First" foreign policy approach.
The Foreign Ministry said, the conference is expected to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and interaction among key stakeholders on strengthening Bangladesh's economic resilience and global competitiveness.
Three thematic plenary sessions are scheduled at the conference.
The first session, titled "The Policy Compass", will discuss policy directions for trade and economic growth, while the second session, "Capital for Growth", will focus on investment and financing issues.
The third session, "The New Stage - AI, Creative Economy & Sport", will explore emerging growth drivers and innovation-led development opportunities.
The ministry said the conference aims to strengthen collaboration among government agencies, the private sector and international partners to support Bangladesh's long-term economic transformation and sustainable growth agenda, reports BSS
