The suspects, identified as Md Shakil and Monir, were caught around 11:40pm from ward No. 208 of the hospital and later handed over to police for legal action, said Ansar & VDP Spokesman and Mass Communication Officer Md Ashikuzzaman.

According to him, Ansar member Md Ishaq, while performing duty at the ward, noticed the two men allegedly trying to persuade patients and their relatives to leave the hospital for a private clinic by promising better treatment at lower costs.

After being confirmed of the matter, he informed patrolling Ansar members Md Kashem Mia and Md Al Amin, who rushed to the spot and detained the two men red-handed.

They were later produced before the hospital authorities and, following their instructions, handed over to the hospital police camp, reports UNB.
