DGHS asks to seal all illegal clinics, diagnostic centers

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today asked the authorities to seal all unauthorized clinics and diagnostic centers across the country within 72 hours. 

The health authority said legal action will be taken against the persons, who are involved with illegally running diagnostic centers and clinics. 

According to a notification, signed by Dr Ahmedul Kabir, Additional Director General of DGHS, four-point guidelines were issued for shutting down unauthorized clinics and diagnostics centers. 

The four-point guidelines are as follows: 

1. All unauthorized diagnostic centers, clinics across the country must be sealed within 72 years. The government will launch drive against the unauthorized private hospitals, clinics and diagnostics centers.

2. The timeline for renewal of those clinics and diagnostic centers, which already expired, will be extended. 

3. Licensed of those clinics and diagnostics will be cancelled, authorities of these health organizations will perform operational process without registered healthcare professionals. 

4. Licensed giving process of clinics and diagnostic centers will end at the earliest times, reports BSS.
