Bangladesh face Pakistan today

Dhaka, 23 Jan  -Bangladesh women's futsal team, led by skipper Sabina Khatun, face Pakistan in their fifth match of the SAFF Women's Futsal Championship at the Nonthaburi Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Friday.

The match kicks off at 1:00 pm (BST).

Bangladesh currently top the points table with 10 points from four matches, while Pakistan are placed fifth with seven points from five outings.

Bangladesh made a winning start to the tournament, beating India by 3-1 goals in their opening match. Sabina and her teammates then came from behind to draw 3-3 with Bhutan in their second match, blanked Nepal by 3-0 goals in the third match, and defeated Sri Lanka by 6-3 goals in their fourth match.

Pakistan, on the other hand, drew 1-1 with Bhutan, beat Sri Lanka 3-2, defeated Maldives 3-1, and suffered defeats against India (5-3) and Nepal (5-1).

Bangladesh will play their last match of the championship against Maldives on Sunday (January 25) at the same venue.

The team finishing at the top of the table after all seven rounds of matches will be crowned champions of the SAFF Women's Futsal Championship.BSS
