Biswanath emphasis on team effort

Dhaka, 14 Nov -Defender Biwanath Ghosh thinks that team effort can give a good result against host Australia and he also expects maximum effort from his team member to play proper role form their respective position.

"Our preparation for the Australia match is going quite well and all are working very hard to get a good result," he said through a video message today.

Bangladesh will take on host Australia in their FIFA World Cup 2026 preliminary round-2 away match scheduled to be held on Thursday (Nov 16) in Melbourne.

Biswanath said each member of the team will have to give their best from their respective position to get a good result against Australia.

Goalkeeper Mitul Marma said: "Playing all matches for the national team are always challenging and fighting and our target is always to perform good for the team .... As we know Australia is big team and far ahead in ranking so we are working hard and we'll try our level best to do something good in the match."

When asked about his own target in the match, Mitul said every player have their own target in the match and my effort would be not to concede any goal under the bar.

The young custodian said the defense line of the team has shown good performance in the recent matches and the defenders will have to show some extraordinary techniques against the Australia.
