Fire at Gabtoli slum comes under control after over an hour

Dhaka, Mar 06 – A fire broke out in the Shahi Masjid slum in the capital’s Gabtoli area early Thursday. Eight units of the fire service were deployed to control the blaze, which was brought under control at 4:36am.

Warehouse Inspector Anwarul Islam of the FSCD media cell said that the fire was reported at 3:08am, and the first firefighting unit reached the scene within four minutes.

No casualties have been reported so far, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. - UNB
