Cricketer Tamim happy to cast his vote 1st time

Celebrity cricketer Tamim Iqbal cast his vote for the first time today at Regional Public Administration Training Center (RPATC) in the port city at around 11 a.m


“For the first time I have cast my vote today,” said cricketer Tamim Iqbal after coming out of the polling centre in the city’s Askardighi Par area.

Tamim, once a recognized dashing batsman of Bangladesh National Cricket team, was accompanied by his elder brother and also former national team member Nafis Iqbal. 

Born and brought up in the city’s Kazir Dewri area near the RPATC fall under Chattogram-9 (Kotowali-Bakalia) constituency, Tamim Iqbal was escorted by on-duty members of the Armed Forces to avoid crowd soon after his arrival at the center and security personnel helped him to reach the respective polling booth. 

Describing his experience at the polling centre, Tamim Iqbal said a festive and peaceful atmosphere prevailed in the centre. And he was very happy to see enthusiasm among people. 

Enthusiastic crowds who gathered outside the polling station were seen welcoming the star cricketer, reports BSS.
