Two more die of dengue in 24 hours

Two people died of dengue and 1,056 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00am on Saturday.


With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 143 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation, it said.

Since January 1 this year, a total of 50,276 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country, reports UNB.

Of them, 46,699 have been discharged after recovery, according to the DGHS.
