Four of a family killed in Ramu landslide

Four persons of a same family were killed in a landslide at Kauarkup union under Ramu upazila in the district today.

The deceased were Azizur Rahman, 55, his wife Rahima Khatun, 45, mother-in-law Dil Furuz Begum, 70, and daughter-in-law Nasima Akhter, 25.

Ramu Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Fahmida Mustafa said mountainside suddenly collapsed while Azizur’s family was taking their dinner tonight.

Being informed, fire fighters and police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, reports BSS.
