Bangladesh and Malaysia have pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation in religious affairs during a virtual meeting between Malaysia's Minister for Religious Affairs, Senator Dr. Zulkifli Hasan and Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain (Kaikobad).

The meeting held today focused on Hajj management, Zakat administration and modernisation of religious education.

Both sides emphasised improving efficiency, technology-based management, transparency in Zakat and curriculum development to promote tolerance and social harmony.

Proposals for joint training programmes, workshops and experience-sharing initiatives were also discussed.

Both ministers expressed optimism that implementing these measures would open new avenues for bilateral collaboration, reports UNB.
