French Firms Eager to Expand in Bangladesh: Ambassador

French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet on Monday highlighted the interest of French companies in expanding their presence in Bangladesh, stressing the need for a business-friendly environment to support this growth.

The Ambassador, along with the Heads of EU diplomatic missions, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman to discuss matters of mutual interest. During the meeting, he congratulated the Minister on his new role and reaffirmed France’s commitment to strengthening the long-standing partnership and exploring new joint initiatives.

He also noted the shared vision of France and Bangladesh for peace, multilateralism, and regional cooperation.

The Foreign Minister thanked the EU for its support through the electoral observation mission, which contributed significantly to the recent general elections. He highlighted the importance of EU-Bangladesh relations and expressed the government’s commitment to facilitating exchanges across all sectors.
