US envoy greets Foreign Minister on new role

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen today congratulated Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman on his assumption of office, reaffirming Washington's commitment to working closely with Dhaka to further strengthen bilateral relations.


The US envoy conveyed the congratulations when he called on the Foreign Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here.

During the meeting, Ambassador Christensen assured Washington's commitment to continue working together with Dhaka to make the two countries safer, stronger, and more prosperous.

Earlier, the US Ambassador paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam, reports BSS.
