BIMSTEC Secretary General Meets CA Yunus

BIMSTEC Secretary General, Indra Mani Pandey, met with Professor Muhammad Yunus, the newly appointed Chairman of BIMSTEC and Bangladesh's Chief Adviser, in Bangkok today.

At the 6th BIMSTEC Summit in Thailand, Bangladesh assumed the BIMSTEC chairmanship for the next two years. The official handover took place as the Thai Prime Minister passed the chairmanship to Prof. Yunus.

In his acceptance statement, Prof. Yunus emphasized a vision for an inclusive and action-oriented BIMSTEC, underscoring Bangladesh's priorities for the regional organization. He reaffirmed Bangladesh's commitment to strengthening regional cooperation and promoting sustainable development across the member states.
