Agricultural Incentives distributed in Ramu Upazila

Opening ceremony of distribution of Agricultural Incentives and Rehabilitation Program in Ramu Upazila

In Ramu Upazila of Cox’s Bazar, a distribution ceremony was held during the Rabi season of the 2025–26 fiscal year under the government’s Agricultural Incentive and Rehabilitation Program. The event focused on providing Boro Ufshi (high-yielding) and hybrid rice seeds along with fertilizers to local farmers. 

Upazila Executive Officer of Ramu Mr. Md. Fazle Rabbani Chowdhury, attended as the Chief Guest, while officers from various Upazila departments, Sub Assistant Agriculture Officers, journalists from print and electronic media, farmers from different unions, and other distinguished guests were also present. 

The program was presided over by the Upazila Agriculture Officer (UAO) Krishibid Tanzila Rahman.

As part of the distribution, each Ufshi rice farmer received per bigha 5 kilograms of Ufshi rice seed, 10 kilograms of DAP fertilizer, and 10 kilograms of MOP fertilizer. Farmers cultivating hybrid rice were provided with 2 kilograms of hybrid rice seed per bigha. In total, 500 farmers in the Upazila received Ufshi rice seeds and chemical fertilizers, while 900 farmers were given hybrid rice seeds.

This initiative aims to support agricultural productivity, strengthen food security, and encourage farmers during the Rabi season.
