Activists of Inqilab Mancha returned to the Shahbagh intersection on 28 December 2025, resuming their blockade to demand the immediate arrest and trial of those involved in the killing of Sharif Osman Hadi.

Inqilab Mancha has issued a 24-day ultimatum demanding justice for its slain spokesperson Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, outlining four key demands in a statement released on its official Facebook page late Saturday (28 December).

The organisation called for the arrest and prosecution of everyone linked to the killing, including the perpetrators, planners, accomplices, those who facilitated the escape, and anyone who provided shelter to the accused, within the stipulated timeframe.

It also demanded the cancellation of work permits of all Indian nationals living in Bangladesh if India fails to repatriate the suspects allegedly taking refuge there or does not issue a clear position on the matter.

If India refuses to return the accused, Inqilab Mancha said the government should file a case against India at the International Court of Justice.

In addition, the group demanded the identification and arrest of what it described as “fascist elements” allegedly operating within civil and military intelligence agencies.

In a separate announcement, Inqilab Mancha called on students and members of the public to join a blockade at Shahbagh in the capital at 2:00pm today, pressing for swift action on their demands.
