Youth stabbed to death in C'nawabganj
A youth on Monday was stabbed to death by assailants in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj.
The deceased, Noyon Ali (25), was the son of Abdul Karim of Moroltola area in Noyalabhanga Union. Rajshahi Medical College Hospital spokesperson Dr. Shankar Kumar Biswas confirmed his death.
The incident occurred around 7:00 pm at Babupar Mor, where assailants attacked Noyon with machetes, inflicting severe injuries. Locals rescued him and took him to Chapainawabganj District Hospital for initial treatment before he was referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Dr. Biswas said Noyon may have died from excessive bleeding. Shibganj police OC Humayun Kabir confirmed the incident, saying Noyon’s political affiliation has not been verified. Police have launched an operation to apprehend the attackers, reports UNB.
