20 gold bars seized in Munshiganj

The detainees were identified as Md Mostofa, 35, hailed from Benapole in Jashore and Najim Mondol, 34, a resident of Nimta area under Jashore district.



Police during a drive arrested two people with 20 gold bars from Hasara area of the district Wednesday.

The detainees were identified as Md Mostofa, 35, hailed from Benapole in Jashore and Najim Mondol, 34, a resident of Nimta area under Jashore district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hasara Highway Thana Kanchon Kumar Singh said on information, a team of Hasara Highway police stopped a Benapole-bound bus on Bangabandhu Expressway in Hasara area at around 11 am and held the duo. After searching their body, police recovered the gold bars worth around Taka 2  crore.
