Raza back as Zimbabwe change three for England Test

Harare, 4 May - All-rounder Sikandar Raza has been recalled by Zimbabwe for a one-off four-day Test against England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham from May 22. 

The 39-year-old Pakistan-born star missed a Test against Ireland and two against Bangladesh last month after being released to compete in several Twenty20 franchise tournaments.

Back-up wicketkeeper Clive Madande and fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri have also been promoted as Zimbabwe make three changes to the 15-man squad that won and lost Tests in Bangladesh.

The trio replace Johnathan Campbell, Nyasha Mayavo and Vincent Masekesa as Zimbabwe prepare to face England in a Test for the first time since 2003.

Craig Ervine will captain Zimbabwe and another veteran, batter Sean Williams, has also been included.

"In terms of performance, I expect us to play to a standard that can compete with one of the best teams in the world," South Africa-born Zimbabwe coach Justin Sammons said. 

"I really want to see the guys walking out there believing that they belong, embracing and enjoying the moment."

After the England match, Zimbabwe will face neighbours South Africa in Arundel from June 3 in a four-day match.

South Africa will use the game to prepare for the World Test Championship final against title-holders Australia from June 11 at Lord's.
