KIEV, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has sent three groups of military experts to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, where they will share expertise on intercepting drones, President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters on Tuesday.

Regarding the situation in the Middle East, Zelensky said Ukraine had deployed fully staffed professional teams this week, each to a different country.

He also expressed hope that U.S. allies in the Middle East would provide Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine in exchange.

Zelensky said Monday that Ukraine had received 11 requests for security assistance from Iran's neighbors, European countries and the United States, including support for intercepting the Iranian-made Shahed drones.
