5 killed, 31 injured in Russian strikes across Kiev

At least five people were killed and 31 others injured in Russian strikes targeting the Ukrainian capital on Friday, according to Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

In a post on Telegram, Klitschko said one of the strikes hit an office building in the Solomianskyi district, killing four people, injuring seven others and sparking a fire in a nearby parking lot.

A 14-year-old boy was killed in other strikes across the capital. The attacks damaged two multi-story apartment buildings, a healthcare facility and several non-residential structures, the mayor added.

In the surrounding Kiev region, at least 11 civilian facilities were damaged in the strikes on Friday, according to regional governor Tymur Tkachenko. No casualties were reported in the region. -UNB
