Ziaur share second position after sixth round

Dhaka, 26 May -Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman shared the second position along with others seven players with five points after sixth round games of the Category A Grand Masters Chess event of the 13th KIIT International Chess Festival now being held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.


Grandmaster Zia earlier drew with FM Rohith Krishna of India in fifth round held Wednesday last and he won against his Indian rival Praloy Sahoo in sixth round which was held today (Thursday).


Jodunath Biswas got 1.5 points and Kaumudi Nargis earned one point out of six games.


A total of 175 players including eleven grandmasters, one woman grandmaster and fourteen international masters from ten countries are participating in the event.
