Bus-truck collision kills 2 in Faridpur

Two people were killed and ten others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Barishal highway at Naupara in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district on Saturday.


The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Helal Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Bhanga Highway Police, said the accident occurred around 10 am in front of Noupara Livestock office when the Dhaka-bound bus from Barishal crashed into a truck coming from opposite direction, leaving one killed on the spot and 11 others injured.

The injured were taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared one of them dead.

The bodies were kept at the hospital morgue, reports UNB.
