2 killed in triangular collision among three buses in Sylhet

Two people were killed and ten others injured a triangular collision among three buses on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Osmaninagar upazila of Sylhet district on Saturday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred around 7 am when the three vehicles including Sylhet-bound ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ bus hit the Dhaka-bound buses of ‘Ena Paribahan’ and 'Unique Paribahan’ coming from the opposite direction, leaving two killed on the spot and ten others injured, said Monayem Mia, Officer-in-Charge of Osmaninagar Police Station.

Upon receiving information, police and fire service men rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.

The injured were taken to a local hospital.

Vehicular movement on the highway remained halted for three hours following the accident, reports UNB.
