The incident occurred when the trio was crossing the road near Saddam Market. The pickup van struck them, killing the couple instantly and leaving their daughter, Jui Akhter, injured, according to Mahmudul Hasan Irfan, sub-inspector (SI) at Jatrabari Police Station.
