3 killed in separate road crashes in Kishoreganj

Three motorbike riders were killed and another was injured in two separate road accidents in Kuliarchar area of the district last night.


The deceased were Ashiq, 20, son of Emad Mia of Bhabanipur village of Bhairab upazila, Rassel Mia, 18, son of Siddique Mia of Kandigram village in Kuliachar upazila and Abdus Sattar, 55, son of late Amir Uddin of Bhatipara village in Kuliachar upazila of the district.

Police said an accident was occurred when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a motorbike in Madhuarchar area on Kishoreganj-Bhairab regional highway, leaving three bike riders injured critically.

Locals rescued them and sent them to a local hospital, where doctors declared Ashiq and Rassel dead.

Another accident occurred when motorbike rider Sattar fell into a ditch of culvert. He was killed on the spot.

Bhairab Highway Thana OC Suman Kumar Chowdhury confirmed the incident, reports BSS.
