The IRGC said in a statement that they responded to the recent strikes and they caused damage to the US base in Jordan. They said they targeted US destroyers that were carrying ballistic missiles.

What Iran says is that it retaliated in a “much stronger way and we inflicted damage.”

We have no verification of the level of damage that Iran claims to have caused to the US base in Jordan. These remain Iranian claims.

The US hasn’t commented on the claimed damage to its assets, reports AL Jazeera.

How far Iran is willing to go is still unclear.
