Light to moderate rain likely in parts of Bangladesh: BMD

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rains in parts of Bangladesh in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Thursday.


“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a regular bulletin of Met office.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The axis of monsoon troughs runs through East Uttar pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh.

Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay, reports UNB.
